London — Alec Burger has been appointed to the role of non-executive chair of Global Student Accommodation Group (GSA).
Based in the U.S., Burger will work closely with GSA’s executive team to support global growth with a specific focus on North America, strengthening the London-based company’s continued expansion following GSA’s entry into the U.S. market in 2020. Burger formerly worked as president and CEO of GE Capital and GE Capital Real Estate.

I look forward to working alongside GSA’s talented board and executive team to support its global growth strategy and reach its full potential.”
It was also announced as part of the board’s strategic review that CEO Will Rowson will depart the company at the end of 2021. A new CEO has not been named.
