Approval Granted for New Student Housing Near Mansfield U.

The 216-bed community will be located a mile away from the Pennsylvania school’s campus

Mansfield, Pa. — The Mansfield Borough Council has given conditional approval for a new student housing project to be constructed near Mansfield University. The project will be located at I-99 Commerce Park, approximately 1 mile from campus. It will feature 216 beds within 72 three-bedroom units. The residences will be configured in an apartment-style, with private bedrooms and shared common areas. Amenities will include a fitness center, a computer area and lounges. According to Chad Lello, a project engineer with Pennoni Associates and the person that presented the project to the borough, groundbreaking is expected this winter. Pennoni is providing civil engineering services for the project. The developer is I-99 Commerce Park LLC.
