Austin, Texas — C1 Development has announced three strategic hires. David Helfrich has joined the Austin, Texas-based firm as president; Dan Koebel has been named managing director; and Greg Johnson has joined the company as development manager.
In his new position, Helfrich will lead the firm’s ground-up development and co-development strategies. He is responsible for overseeing all aspects of C1’s development platform, including sourcing, capitalization and execution of new projects. He previously served as president of development with Aspen Heights Partners.
Koebel will focus on leading the firm’s student housing development nationwide and multifamily housing initiatives in the Carolinas. Prior to joining C1, he held leadership roles at Middleburg Communities, Aspen Heights Partners and CampusWorks/CW Development.
In his new role, Johnson will support C1’s student housing and multifamily housing projects in the Carolinas. Johnson previously founded Besson Development and Better Properties Group, which focused on multifamily and single-family home developments.
