Campus Advantage Acquires Kent State Property

Kent, Ohio — Campus Pointe adds 198 units, 630 beds to company’s portfolio.

Kent, Ohio  — Campus Advantage has acquired Campus Pointe, a 630-bed property built in 2009 that is a half mile from Kent State University. The community is 99 percent occupied and marks Campus Advantage’s entry to the Kent, Ohio, market.

 

Campus Pointe units feature bed-bath parity, built-in desks in the bedrooms, full-sized washers and dryers and full kitchens. The property’s amenities include a heated swimming pool with outdoor grill, basketball and sand volleyball courts, a 24-hour fitness center, computer room, media lounge, game room and tanning bed.

 

“Kent State University is one of the largest universities in Ohio, and it has added more students than any other school in the Great Lakes region in the past five years,” says Michael Orsak, senior vice president of investments for Campus Advantage. “That makes it a solid investment opportunity for us and the clients we serve.”

 

Campus Advantage operates 52 student housing communities across 19 states with a total bed count of more than 27,000.
