Statesboro, Ga. — Campus Apartments has acquired The Hudson, a 780-bed student housing community located near Georgia Southern University in Statesboro.
The garden-style property offers studio, one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom units. Shared amenities include a newly-renovated clubhouse, 24-hour fitness center and a resort-style swimming pool. Campus Apartments plans to invest over $900,000 in capital improvements to the community, which are slated to begin during the second quarter of this year.
“We’re very familiar with the Statesboro market, and are thrilled to acquire this pedestrian-to-campus asset,” says Mark Schundler, executive vice president of Campus Apartments. “The acquisition is consistent with our strategy of investing in well-positioned properties that offer superior risk-adjusted returns.”
