Carter and CGM Use Converted Food Truck In Marketing Initiative

by Katie Sloan

San Antonio, Texas — Some leases will be signed for the 2014-2015 school year out of a converted food truck.

San Antonio, Texas — Tetro Student Village, a 590-bed community Carter is developing for a fall 2014 delivery, is using a converted food truck in a mobile marketing campaign. Cardinal Group Management is overseeing this unusual initiative, driving the 14-foot leasing vehicle to nearby festivals, parks, bars, sporting events and restaurants. The Tetro Truck was remodeled and is equipped to tour and provide leasing support around the city. Students can take virtual tours of the units via computer hookups in the truck, and complete all transactions online and onsite.

The 16-acre community will include 121 flats-style apartments and 77 townhomes built around a “town center.” The development will feature one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom units, and the townhomes will include two-car garages. Amenities will include a coffee shop, sports bar, state-of-the-art fitness center, media room for watching sporting events and movies as well as playing video games, a resort-style pool, volleyball, basketball and bocce ball courts, soccer field, grilling area, fire pit, study room, arcade, dog park and tanning room.
