Columbia, S.C. — Cushman & Wakefield has arranged the sale of Reign Living at the Stadium, a 504-bed student housing property located adjacent to the University of South Carolina’s Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia. Travis Prince, Shawn Lubic and Victoria Marks of Cushman & Wakefield represented the seller, Reign Living, in the transaction. The Preiss Co. acquired the property for an undisclosed price. Clemson, S.C. and Knoxville, Tenn. —Arcapita, a global investment manager with offices in Atlanta, London and Singapore, has acquired two student housing communities in the Southeast for a combined $120 million. Clemson Lofts is a 640-bed community located approximately one mile from Clemson University in South Carolina that was fully occupied at the time of sale. Columbia, S.C. — A 32-bed student housing community located near the University of South Carolina campus in Columbia has traded hands for $2.1 million. Brooks Owings of Wilson Kibler represented an undisclosed Charlotte-based investment group in the acquisition of the property, named Hampton House. Greystar Acquires Property Management Business of Alliance Residential, Including Future Business

Charleston, S.C. and Phoenix — Multifamily and student housing development and management firm Greystar Real Estate Partners has acquired the property management business of competitor Alliance Residential Co., the fourth-largest apartment management firm in the United States. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed, but The Wall Street Journal reports that the all-cash deal totaled nearly $200 million.
