Tampa, Fla. — Colliers International has arranged the $5.4 million sale of a 1.83-acre development site located near the University of Tampa. The property — which includes the former location of a pet daycare — will be redeveloped into a Class A, six-story student housing community offering approximately 500 beds in a mix of unit sizes. Shared amenities will include ground-floor retail, a dog wash area, indoor and outdoor exercise facilities and a swimming pool. The new community is scheduled for completion in fall 2022. Sean Baird and Jonathan Holt of Colliers represented the undisclosed buyer, a development firm that has recently completed several student housing developments outside of Florida. The seller was also undisclosed.
