Colliers International Student Housing Group Sells Illinois Community, Lists Kentucky Property

Clearwater, Fla. — $25.3 million property listed is near the University of Kentucky.

The Courtyards in Lexington, Ky.Clearwater, Fla. — The Student Housing Group of Colliers International has listed The Courtyards, a student housing community in Lexington, Ky. The property is listed at $25.3 million. The Courtyards, which was built in 1996, has 182 units, 676 beds and caters to the students of the University of Kentucky.

Dorothy Jackman and Travis Prince of Colliers International Student Housing Group also recently represented Bridge Partners in the purchase of Indigo Place, a 192 unit, 588-bed student housing community in Savoy, Ill., catering to the students of the University of Illinois-Champaign/Urbana. This acquisition aligns with Bridge Partners’ strategy to build out its student housing portfolio and pursue value-add and distressed deals throughout the country.

Bridge Partners plan to invest approximately $900,000 to reposition the property by enhancing the exterior appearance, and updating the clubhouse, swimming pool, fitness center and game room. Tampa, Fla.-based Landmark Residential was the seller.
