Construction Continues on $231 Million Development Near Florida International University

Miami — Construction is underway on The One at University City, a 1,244-bed student housing community located across the street from the Florida International University campus in Miami. The project was financed through a $231 million bond issuance by University Bridge and is being developed by a partnership between Global City Development, RER Ventures and Podium Developments. Landmark Properties has been tapped to manage the community, which is currently 45 percent pre-leased.  The development is set to offer studio, one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom, fully furnished units with bed-to-bath parity. Shared amenities will include a sundeck and swimming pool, state-of-the-art fitness center, study lounges and a resident clubroom. The development is on-track for completion in fall 2020.
