Philadelphia — Cross Properties is constructing off-campus student housing near Drexel University in Philadelphia that will integrate amenities such as a pop-up restaurant/entrepreneur incubator space, a food lab, cooking classes in the facility’s commercial kitchen and more.

The 44-unit, 175-bed fully furnished community, Good Food Flats, is located in the Powelton Village neighborhood. Its amenities are designed to appeal to Drexel University’s Hospital and Sports Management program. Residents interested in sustainable farming practices can take advantage of dedicated urban garden spaces on the roof and backyard of the building to grow their own fruits and vegetables.

The building, which will open for the Fall 2016 semester, will also include amenities such as study lounges, a 24-hour fitness center and included Wi-Fi and cable.
