DePauw University Wins Award for Dorm Conservation

The school reduced its energy usage by 25.8 percent.

 

Greencastle, Ind. — DePauw University has won the Campus Conservation Nationals 2010, a national competition where school residence halls compete to see who can reduce energy usage the most from November 1-19. DePauw achieved a 25.8 percent reduction in electricity use and will receive energy monitoriing devices for two of its buildings as a grand prize. Forty schools competed in the competition.
