Endeavor Real Estate Group Launches Student Housing Platform

Austin, Texas — Endeavor Real Estate Group has launched a new student housing platform. Jake Newman, who joined the Austin-based firm as principal late last year, will spearhead the launch of the company’s student housing vertical. Newman spent the past 21 years with American Campus Communities, where he served as executive vice president and head of development. “We are very excited to have Jake at Endeavor and leading our expansion into the student housing space,” says Jamil Alam, managing principal with Endeavor. “Given the strong macro fundamentals of the sector, we look forward to deploying our expertise and capital into student housing, which we believe offers yet another diversified investment option to our investors.” The company recently entered a pre-development partnership with Texas Christian University for a mixed-use development on the southern edge of the university’s campus in Fort Worth.
