Georgia State Buys Two Hotels, Plans Student Housing Conversion

Atlanta — Georgia State University has acquired two downtown Atlanta hotels with the intention of converting them into student housing.

Atlanta — Georgia State University has acquired two downtown Atlanta hotels with the intention of converting the properties into student housing. The adjoining hotels are the former Wyndham Garden Hotel and the Baymont Inn & Suites located at 175 Piedmont Ave. The hotels feature a combined 453 rooms. Bob Hunter from Hunter Realty’s Atlanta office and Kyle Stevenson of the firm’s Washington, D.C., office represented the undisclosed seller in the deal.
