Gilbane Development Breaks Ground on 978-Bed Community Near the University of Maryland

College Park, Md. — Gilbane Development Co. has broken ground on Tempo, a 978-bed student housing community located near the University of Maryland campus in College Park. The eight-story property will offer studio, one-, two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom, fully furnished units with bed-to-bath parity. Shared amenities are set to include a bocce court, study lounge, computer lab, multi-sport simulator, fire pit, game space, fitness center, swimming pool, clubhouse and a sun deck with cabanas. The project is scheduled for completion in August 2022, with a leasing office located at 7418 Baltimore Ave. set to open next summer.
