Gilbane Development Co. Names James Patchett President, CEO

Providence, R.I. — Gilbane Development Co., the real estate development and asset management arm of Gilbane Inc., has named James Patchett to the role of president and CEO. He will succeed Edward Broderick, who was recently named CEO of Gilbane Inc. Prior to joining the Providence, Rhode Island-based firm, Patchett served as a partner in the real estate practice at McKinsey & Co. and as president and CEO of the New York City Economic Development Corp., where he managed a portfolio of over 60 million square feet of real estate. “We are thrilled to welcome James to the Gilbane team,” says Broderick. “His track record of creative development projects and investments in cities across the country will be instrumental in driving the next chapter of Gilbane Development’s growth.
