Iowa City, Iowa — Harley Ellis Devereaux, Rohrbach Associates PC Architects and Miron Construction were awarded the design-build contract for a residence hall at the University of Iowa. Once constructed, the 303,000-square-foot Madison Street Residence Hall will be 12 stories and provide 1,023 beds for students on the university’s East Campus.

With views of the Iowa River and an emphasis on the live-learn philosophy, building amenities will include a large dining facility, communal study rooms, multipurpose space, laundry facilities, recreation, gaming and fitness.

Harley Ellis Devereaux is the design architect for the project that is scheduled for completion in 2017.
