College Park, Md. — A joint venture between Harrison Street and LV Collective is set to break ground on Rambler College Park, a mixed-use development located near the University of Maryland campus in College Park. The 340,000-square-foot community will offer 1,003 beds across 288 units for occupation by students as well as the greater College Park community. The property will also feature retail space and a community center. Shared amenities will include a ground-level coffee shop; second-floor co-working mezzanine; fitness center with a yoga studio and cold plunge; hot tub and jumbotron; and an outdoor terrace. The community center will honor Lakeland, a historic African American community established in 1890 in College Park. The space was planned in collaboration with the Lakeland Civic Association and Lakeland Community Heritage Project and will include a library and archive preserving the history of Lakeland, as well as flex space for functions such as presentations, art galleries and gatherings.
