Icon And Campus Acquisitions To Build 63-Bed Boutique Project at UCSB

Santa Barbara, Calif. — Joint venture set to break ground on 21-unit property with commercial space.

Santa Barbara, Calif. — A joint venture between Beverly Hills, Calif.-based The Icon Company and Chicago-based Campus Acquisitions is preparing to break ground on a 21-unit, 63-bed mixed-use student housing project near UCSB in the Isla Vista area of Santa Barbara. The complex will also contain 6,000 square feet of the ground floor and second-floor commercial space. Icon has another project planned in the Isla Vista area for 2012. Bank of the West is providing financing for the project, while San Luis Obispo, Calif.-based Robbins Reed will serve as the general contractor for the project.
