InterFace Student Housing to be Rescheduled

by Katie Sloan

In response to the coronavirus, Student Housing Business and the InterFace Conference Group have made the difficult decision to reschedule the 12th annual InterFace Student Housing conference.

“We value the health and safety of our attendees and the industry, and we feel that rescheduling is the best step at this time,” says Richard Kelley, publisher of Student Housing Business. “While we had come to this conclusion last week, it was further enforced by a ban through May 1 of all gatherings in Austin of more than 250 people, which was announced over the weekend.”

InterFace and France Media are actively working to secure new dates and to make sure that the event occurs at an opportune time for the industry.

“We hope to be able to announce new dates in the next ten to 14 days,” says Randy Shearin, editor of Student Housing Business. “The industry’s support and commitment to this event has been paramount to its success over the past 11 years and we certainly hope that the industry will continue to support our efforts. Many of you have reached out to offer your support and on behalf of our staff, we very much appreciate your good thoughts and confidence in us during this time.”

For industry players who are registered for the event as speakers, attendees, exhibitors and sponsors, those registrations will transfer to the new dates. Every speaker, sponsor and exhibitor will be contacted individually to reconfirm participation once the new dates are announced.

“Thank you for your patience and support,” adds Kelley. “We look forward to seeing all of you in a few months under much better circumstances.”
