Denton, Texas — A joint venture between Landmark Properties and Harrison Street Real Estate Capital has announced plans to develop a new cottage-style student housing community in Denton. The Retreat at Denton will be located less than 2 miles from the University of North Texas and Texas Women’s University.
The community will contain 125 cottages in a mix of three-, four- and five-bedroom floorplans. Cottages will feature gourmet kitchens, expansive living rooms, built-in bookcases, crown molding, modern appliances and in-unit washers and dryers. The community will also feature a clubhouse that will contain a resort-style swimming pool, a movie theater with stadium seating, a cyber café, a fitness center and clubrooms. Collegiate Construction is the general contractor for the project. Completion is expected in fall 2011.
The Retreat at Denton is the second community of its type under construction in Texas by the Landmark/Harrison Street joint venture. The Retreat at Lubbock is also scheduled to open next fall.
