Athens, Ga. — Landmark Properties has announced a number of promotions within its C-Suite. The Athens, Georgia-based firm’s President and CEO, Wes Rogers, will transition to the newly created role of chairman and CEO.
Walt Templin has been named president and chief investment officer. Templin previously served as the company’s head of investment management. In his new role, Templin will oversee all aspects of the firm’s investment strategy, including acquisitions, dispositions and capital markets activities. He will also work with the firm’s executive leadership team to continue growth within the student housing, multifamily and build-to-rent sectors in the United States, as well as expanding into the U.K. and Europe.
Jason Doornbos, who previously served as executive managing director of development, has been promoted to the role of chief development officer. In his new role, Doornbos will lead strategic development, land acquisition, project planning and investment.
Art Templin has been promoted to the role of chief operating officer of development and construction. He previously served as the firm’s executive managing director of development and construction. Templin will be responsible for the execution of new development opportunities across Landmark’s platform. He will also be responsible for managing day-to-day operations and ensuring company goals and objectives are met.
Porter McDonald will assume the role of executive managing director of investment. He previously served as managing director of investment management. McDonald will lead the organization’s investment team, focusing on acquisitions, dispositions and driving investment growth while maximizing portfolio returns.
“Our exponential growth combined with the ever-evolving commercial real estate landscape demanded that we expand our executive team, allowing me to focus more on the strategic direction of the firm as we explore and expand in new verticals,” says Rogers.
