Landmark Properties Plans 2,079-Bed Student Housing Development Near University of Maryland

College Park, Md. — Landmark Properties has announced plans for The Mark College Park, a 2,079-bed student housing development located adjacent to the University of Maryland campus in College Park. The proposed project would be located on a 4.53-acre site currently occupied by two condominium buildings. Landmark plans to acquire the buildings and land for the development in 2026. The community will span two, 10-story buildings offering 601 fully furnished units in studio through five-bedroom configurations. Shared amenities will span across three ground-floor amenity spaces and an oversized amenity deck atop the community’s parking garage. Plans for the project include a state-of-the-art fitness center, outdoor grilling and seating areas, a jumbotron, resort-style swimming pool, sports simulator, study lounge and café. The community will also include a paseo and green space with tree coverage. The development team for the project will include Landmark Construction, the firm’s in-house construction arm, and WDG Architecture. Completion upon purchase of the land and approval is scheduled for fall 2029.
