Knoxville, Tenn. — Landmark Properties, in a venture with Harrison Street Real Estate Capital and Schenk Realty, recently started construction on The Standard at Knoxville, a 672-bed urban infill project in Knoxville, Tennessee.
This project will be purpose-built to serve the students of The University of Tennessee and will target students seeking pedestrian access to class and who frequent the area’s restaurants, retail, and nightlife.
Standard at Knoxville will be adjacent to the university campus. The community will comprise 42 floorplans with one-, two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom units. Each floorplan will offer private bathrooms, will be fully furnished and will have finishes, such as granite countertops and premium appliances.
Amenities at the new property will include a resort-style pool, resident center with a 24-hour study lounge, tanning beds, a fitness facility and game room. Gated parking will be provided in a covered deck as well as access to off-site parking.
Landmark has developed more than 11,000 beds of student housing and has an additional 5,000 beds currently under construction. Landmark’s urban infill brand, “The Standard” was first marketed to students at The University of Georgia and reached pre-leased occupancy goals in record time, the company says. Landmark Properties continues to develop both “The Retreat” branded cottage-style developments and “The Standard” branded infill developments in college markets nationwide.
A Landmark subsidiary, Landmark Construction, will serve as the project’s general contractor.
