Looking Back on Student Housing’s Most Active Builders

Student Housing Business conducted a survey of builders in mid-2019 to determine which contractors are the most active in the student housing sector. To participate, contractors must have completed projects within the timeframe of January 1, 2017, to December 31, 2018. It was our intention to include projects prepared for the 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 academic years. Our ranking of the top contractors is based on responses to our survey; contractors are ranked by number of beds constructed.

Student Housing Business made every effort to locate and contact all active contractors in the sector. Leading the top contractors of student housing this year was Landmark Construction, the in-house construction company of Landmark Properties, with 8,382 beds. The top ten includes:
