FORT MYERS, Fla. — A private investor from Tampa has purchased The Brittany Apartments, a 320-unit multifamily tax credit property near Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, for $10.35 million. Jeffrey Meyer and Shahar “Sean” Ziv of Marcus & Millichap represented the seller, a Fort Myers-based development group. Myers and Ziv also represented the buyer.

“The buyer was attracted to the property’s location, the expiration of the initial tax-credit compliance period in 2015 and the ongoing recovery of southwest Florida from the depths of the real estate recessions,” Meyer says.

The apartments were completed in two phases, the first in 1999 and the second in 2001. The complex features 27 buildings. Amenities include community van service, a lake, a swimming pool and a laundry room.
