New York — Nathaniel Fowler and Robin Rains will focus on asset management, acquisitions and new business development tailored to the company’s on-campus strategy.
New York — Nathaniel Fowler has joined Campus Evolution as a director with a focus on the strategic growth of the company’s campus-centric business model, including student housing. Robin Rains, a student housing industry veteran, has joined Campus Evolution as a managing director responsible for asset management and business development.
Fowler is responsible for acquisitions and asset management over a diverse portfolio of Campus Evolution companies. Prior to joining Campus Evolution, Fowler was an investment banking associate within Cantor Fitzgerald’s Financial Sponsors and Financial Institutions Groups. Fowler’s advisory and capital-raising experience includes alternative investment funds, structured investment vehicles, traditional private placements, primary and secondary offerings as well as equity-linked, preferred equity, debt and mezzanine securities. Fowler graduated with a bachelor of business administration in finance and economics from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Rains is responsible for asset management as well as new business development. She has extensive experience in institutional portfolio management with more than 25 years in the industry. Prior to joining Campus Evolution, she was the managing director of asset management for Kayne Anderson Realty Advisors, one of the largest owners and developers of purpose-built student housing. In this role Rains was responsible for acquisitions, due diligence and ongoing operations of a national portfolio valued at more than $1.5 billion.
Rains established a multifamily development company in Washington, D.C., and also founded a technology company that provided business-to-business and business-to-consumer solutions for the independent restaurant industry. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she received her undergraduate degree and a master’s in regional planning.
