New Jersey Institute of Technology Breaks Ground on $100 Million Residence Hall Project

Newark, N.J. — The New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) has broken ground on Oak Hall, a $100 million residence hall project on the university’s campus in Newark. The design-build team for the 15-story development includes Niles Bolton Associates and Terminal Construction. The community will span 191,000 square feet and offer 453 beds across 154 apartment-style units. The project, which will replace the university’s second-oldest residence hall, is scheduled for completion in August 2027. Additional contributors to the development include Netta Architects, KEA Engineers, O’Donnell & Naccarato, Langan, Professional Systems Engineering, Lewis S. Goodfriend & Associates, SLS Consulting, Noresco and Jacobs Doland Beer.
