New Rutgers Graduate Housing Breaks Ground

The project will add 350 beds of housing to the school’s Camden campus.

Camden, N.J. — The Michaels Organization has broken ground for a new student housing project on the Camden campus of Rutgers University. The project is a 12-story building providing 350 beds of graduate student housing.

The high-rise building, which will be located at the corner of North Fourth and Cooper streets will contain 102 units in a mix of one-, three- and four-bedroom floor plans. The units will be fully furnished and will contain kitchens. Community amenities will include a fitness center, a club room, and a rooftop deck. The ground-floor of the building will also contain 7,000 square feet of retail space.

Joseph Jingoli & Son is serving as the general contractor, and Erdy McHenry is the project architect. The building will open to students in August 2012.
