Northeastern to Build New Residence Hall in P3 with ACC

by Scott Reid

Boston — Northeastern University and American Campus Communities will build a new residence hall on the Boston campus for approximately 800 students.

Plans for the 20-story building include apartment-style units on a university-owned parking lot on Burke Street. ACC will construct and manage the building, which will include ground-floor retail space.

Students will lease directly from ACC, rather than enter into Northeastern’s housing lottery system.

Northeastern must now submit an Institutional Master Plan notification form, as the building is larger and will house more students than what was laid out in the university’s 2013 plan.
