Parallel Begins Vertical Construction on 671-Bed Development Near Texas Tech

Lubbock, Texas — Parallel, in partnership with Kayne Anderson Real Estate, has begun vertical construction on a 671-bed student housing development located at 2413 14th St. near the Texas Tech University campus in Lubbock. The partnership also recently secured an undisclosed amount of construction financing for the project through PlainsCapital Bank. The community is scheduled for delivery in August 2027 and will offer units in studio, one-, two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom configurations. Shared amenities will include a sky lounge, full-service smart market, dedicated indoor bike room, courtyard pool, fitness and wellness center, multi-level lounges, conference rooms, private study pods and an influencer room. The development team for the project includes BOKA Powell, A Royal Interiors, Parkhill, VP Consulting Engineers, RLG Consulting Engineers and Teinert Construction.
