The Forum recently held a “reveal” event to display the property’s offerings. According to Parkland, the event was attended by thousands of students. The move-in date is Aug. 16.

“The two-story, 20,000-square-foot clubhouse is uniquely poised to host events of this scale,” says Harold Tomlinson, chairman and president of Parkland Development Corporation. The Forum’s other amenities include a concierge desk that offers services such as dry cleaning to pet sitting.

The event had a futuristic circus theme and included performers such as stilt walkers, LED-clad dancers and contortionists. The indoor basketball court was the site of a black-light party with florescent painting as well as a photo booth to automatically upload pictures to multiple social media outlets. Drawings were held during the evening that included tickets to a Lady Gaga concert in Atlanta, the Ultra Music Festival in Miami, the Tortuga Festival in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Spring Weekend in Panama City, Fla., and a variety of other prizes.

The Forum at Tallahassee also has an 11,000-square-foot outdoor pool deck and recreation area. The resort-style pool area features a beach-entry pool, gas grills, a large spa and cabana lounges. The clubhouse incorporates indoor basketball and volleyball courts with bleacher seating, a two-story fitness center with TechnoGym equipment, a yoga room and three tanning beds. In addition to the concierge service, students will receive use of a business center with multiple study rooms, free high-speed internet, a Wii gaming room with dual life-size screens, coffee lounge, media center and a pet park. The community is managed by Greystar.
