Santa Rosa, Calif. — A public-private partnership between Servitas and Santa Rosa Junior College is set to break ground on a 360-bed on-campus residence hall. The property will be the college’s first on-campus housing. The community will offer floorplans ranging from single- and double-style units to four-bedroom, apartment-style units with prices starting at below market rate for students. “This is a special opportunity to offer students a living-learning experience at below market rents,” says Angel Rivera, vice president of real estate development at Servitas. “This facility is designed to be very green, offering sustainable housing that reflects the values of SRJC students, faculty, administrators, and the surrounding community.” The development team includes HPI Architecture, Design Collective Inc., Wright Contracting, BKF Engineers, MHP Structural Engineers, Guttmann & Blaevoet Consulting Engineers and George K. Baum & Company. A timeline for the development has yet to be announced.
