College Station, Texas — A public-private partnership between Texas A&M University and Servitas has opened Park West, a 3,406-bed, mixed-use student housing community located in College Station.
The $368 million, 15-building development is the largest student housing project ever developed under a P3 structure in the U.S. The property offers fully furnished units with bed-to-bath parity. Shared amenities include more than 140 study and communal areas, a game room, three fitness centers, three resort-style pools and green spaces. The property also features a 50,000-square-foot rooftop amenity deck with a resort-style pool and spa, cabanas, a fitness center, grills and a juice bar.
Weitz broke ground on the development in July 2015. College Station-based Godfrey Construction and El Paso-based Moss Construction also built segments of the development. Under the terms of the 30-year partnership between Servitas and Texas A&M, Servitas will manage and provide long-term maintenance for the property and its residents. The Servitas management group will also provide everything from facilities maintenance to residence life and programming. Raymond James provided financing for the development.
