St. Louis — Saint Louis University (SLU) has selected Cullinan Properties to develop a 14-acre site at the corner of Grand Boulevard and Chouteau Avenue in midtown St. Louis.
Dallas— Chicago-based Convexity Properties has broken ground on The Crossing, an eight-acre mixed-use project that will be located near Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
Ruston, La. — The Annex Group is set to break ground on The Annex of Ruston, a 324-bed student housing community located near the Louisiana Tech University campus in Ruston.
Orlando, Fla. — Franklin Street has been awarded property management of UnionWest at Creative Village, a 600-bed, mixed-use development located near the University of Central Florida and Valencia College in Orlando.
Boone, N.C. — A public-private partnership between RISE: A Real Estate Company, Beyond Owners Group and Appalachian State University has closed on financing for the development of a 2,100-bed community on the university’s campus in Boone.
Orem, Utah — A joint venture between PEG Cos. and Woodbury Corp. has broken ground on The Green on Campus Drive near Utah Valley University in Orem.
Fairhope, Ala. — After closing six new project financings for five different schools totaling $971.5 million in 2018, Collegiate Housing Foundation has now undertaken to own, finance, construct and operate 60 student housing facilities of almost 40,000 beds in 24 different states for 46 different schools for total project costs exceeding $3.1 billion.
Bowling Green, Ken. and Omaha, Neb.— Peak Campus has been awarded management of two development projects totaling 752 beds in Kentucky and Nebraska.
Sacramento, Calif. — The trustees of California State University have given final approval for a $164 million student housing community to be built on the California State University, Sacramento campus.
Notre Dame, Ind. — A public-private partnership between the University of Notre Dame and Corvias is set to break ground on a married and parenting family-focused housing community on the university’s campus.
