The Michaels Organization Hires Raoul Amescua as Vice President of Development

Camden, N.J. — The Michaels Organization has hired Raoul Amescua as vice president of development for the company’s student living division. Amescua will be responsible for expanding the Camden-based company’s public-private partnerships with higher education institutions in California. Prior to joining Michaels, Amescua served as executive director of real estate services and asset management for the University of California, Riverside, where he successfully led the planning, procurement, negotiations and development of two P3 student housing and dining projects totaling approximately $385 million in total bond finance value. Michaels has been selected to develop The Green at West Village and Orchard Park, two student housing communities at the University of California, Davis, set to offer 5,200 beds once all phases of development are complete. Construction on The Green at West Village is currently underway.
