Boston —The University of Massachusetts Boston has announced the development of a $120 million, 1,000-bed on-campus residential complex expected to open in September 2018.

The complex will be the first on-campus residential offering by the University, and will be built through a public-private partnership with Capstone Development. The project will be built adjacent to the university’s Clark Athletic Center. UMass Boston will oversee the student life at the facility, which will be owned and operated by a nonprofit management entity. The complex is set to accommodate UMass Boston freshmen and transfer students.
