Univ. of West Georgia Selects Hardin for Design-Build Contractor

Hardin Construction Co. is set to build co-educational facilities at the University of West Georgia.


Carrollton, Ga. — Hardin Construction Co. has been selected by the University of West Georgia as the design-build contractor for the University’s $18.9 million, 600-bed facilities. The new student housing will feature two-bed units with semi-private baths, laundry facilities on every floor, lounge spaces, study areas, a large meeting area and a catering kitchen. The co-educational facilities will consist of a four-story building connected to a five-story building built on approximately 1.74 acres. The project is scheduled to start in October and be completed in July 2012. HADP Architecture is the architect of record.
