Coral Gables, Fla. — Moss Construction has completed the development of Lakeside Village, a $134 million residence hall located on the University of Miami campus in Coral Gables. The 569,441-square-foot, seven-story project features 25 interconnected buildings and several outdoor spaces. The community offers 1,115 beds of student housing alongside classrooms, music rooms, study areas, recreation rooms, a 200-seat auditorium, university offices, an exhibition hall, a package center and food options. To support sustainability initiatives, the community also includes green roofs that absorb carbon dioxide to help clean the air and regulate the climate. Miami-based Arquitectonica served as architect for the project.
