University of Vermont’s New Housing Plan Calls For New Halls

Burlington, Vt. — Newer halls could keep more students on campus.

Burlington, Vt. — WCAX, a Burlington-based CBS affiliate, is reporting that the University of Vermont has released an updated, 25-page housing plan that calls for replacing at least three obsolete dorms with new buildings that will cater to first-year students. According to the story, the university will likely work with a third party developer to preserve its debt capacity. The master plan will be established along a 10 to 15-year timeline, with a long-term goal of housing 60 percent of the student body on campus.”
