The Tailwind Group Acquires 720-Bed Community Near the University of Kansas

Lawrence, Kan. — The Tailwind Group has acquired Reserve on West 31st, a 720-bed student housing community located near the University of Kansas campus in Lawrence. Teddy Leatherman, Scott Clifton and Kevin Kazlow of JLL represented the undisclosed seller in the transaction. Built in 1999, the community offers shared amenities including a computer lab, study lounge, clubhouse, dog park, 24-hour fitness center, resort-style swimming pool, hot tub, grilling area, basketball court and sand volleyball court. Significant updates to the community were made by the previous owner, which included the addition of granite countertops and backsplashes, new kitchen cabinetry, modernized furniture and upgraded flooring and lighting to units; and updates to the property’s common areas.
