The University of Texas at Austin Completes Renovation of Lounges at Kingsolving Hall

by Katie Sloan

Austin, Texas — The University of Texas at Austin has completed renovations to the lounge areas of Kinsolving Hall, an all-girls residence hall built in 1958. The five-story community features 19 student lounges that total 8,900 square feet and were redesigned by Pfluger Architects. The first floor lounges were designed to represent a home away from home; the second floor lounges took inspiration from the campus and encourage academic growth; the third floor features theming from the city of Austin; the fourth floor lounge areas encourage collaboration; and the fifth floor was designed to represent endless possibilities for changing the world.
