American Campus Communities Hires Brian Mayer as Chief Operating Officer

Austin, Texas — American Campus Communities has hired Brian Mayer to the role of chief operating officer. In his new position, Mayer will work alongside the Austin, Texas-based company’s executive team to evolve its operating platform, and introduce solutions that improve property performance and enhance resident experience. Mayer has nearly 30 years of operational experience in the hospitality and multifamily sectors, most recently serving as president of Related Management. Before that, Mayer held the position of executive vice president of operations for HEI Hotels & Resorts, where he oversaw a portfolio of 70 hotels across the U.S.
