Tampa, Fla. — Colliers International’s Student Housing Group has facilitated the sale of four student housing properties located in four different states.
Marketed as The Connection Portfolio, the collection of properties totals 1,276 units and 3,480 beds with each property serving a major university with more than 20,000 students.
The properties were built between 2007 and 2010 and are located within three miles of each affiliated university campus. The affiliated schools are Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama; the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia; the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas; and the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi.
The four properties are:
• The Connection at Auburn, with 900 beds
• The Connection at Athens, with 876 beds
• The Connection at Lawrence, with 888 beds
• The Connection at Oxford, with 816 beds
The seller is Diamond Reality Investments. The buyer was not disclosed.
The transaction was handled by Travis Prince, Colliers managing director, along with Dorothy Jackman, managing director, and Sean Baird, associate, of Colliers International’s Student Housing group, based in Tampa.
Each property offers amenities such as athletic facilities, resort-style pools with volleyball courts, study and computer lounges, game rooms and barbecue grills.
