Fayetteville, Ark. and Tallahassee, Fla. — Cushman & Wakefield has secured $73 million in acquisition financing for two student housing communities located in Arkansas and Florida.
The seven-year financing was placed through Guardian Life Insurance on behalf of the borrower, a joint venture between GFH Financial Group and Student Quarters. Gideon Gil, Alex Lapidus, Meredith Donovan and Sebastian Sanchez of Cushman & Wakefield arranged the financing.
Acquisitions include VOX, a 602-bed property serving students attending Florida State University in Tallahassee; and The Avenue, a 652-bed student housing community located near the University of Arkansas campus in Fayetteville.
VOX offers a mix of one- through five-bedroom units with bed-to-bath parity. Shared amenities include an outdoor high-intensity interval training center; two-story fitness center; social lounge; an outdoor courtyard and fire pit; and a covered garage.
The Avenue features a mix of two- and four-bedroom units with bed-to-bath parity. Community amenities include a state-of-the-art fitness center and a resort-style swimming pool with cabanas. The seller in the transaction was undisclosed.
