Atlanta — Square on Fifth, which includes 230 apartment units, is scheduled for completion in August 2015.
JE Dunn Construction has topped out Square on Fifth (SQ5), a student housing community adjacent to Georgia Tech in Atlanta’s Midtown neighborhood. The 325,000-square-foot, 25-story mixed-use tower will also include retail and office spaces. The $49.2 million project is one of Midtown Atlanta’s tallest building projects in recent memory.
A lunchtime gathering of nearly 300 workers joined in the traditional milestone celebration topping out, signifying the end of the structural phase of the project. Begun in March 2014, SQ5 is scheduled for completion in August 2015. SQ5 will offer eight floor plans among 230 apartment units, each with a full kitchen with quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances, and floor-to-ceiling glass walls. The roof includes a resort-style swimming pool, clubroom with gaming area, study room and social terrace with outdoor fireplace and views of Georgia Tech’s football and baseball stadiums.
SQ5’s architect of record is The Preston Partnership LLC.
