Norfolk, Va. — Norfolk State University has announced plans for a 740-bed residence hall located on the university’s campus in Norfolk, Virginia.
The four-story, 193,424-square-foot community will feature a North and South Hall with a central two-story amenity space. Shared amenities will include offices, a conference room, resource production space, a fitness room, a movement and yoga studio, a multipurpose room, group study space, a community kitchen, a theater, and an open gaming space. The property will also feature green spaces and extensive pedestrian walkways.
S.B. Ballard Construction Company will be the design-build contractor for the project, and the design team will consist of Commonwealth Architects and Niles Bolton Associates. Construction is expected for completion in December 2019.
