Denver — The University of Denver has opened a community commons, residence hall and a 23,000-square-foot career center ahead of the 2021-2022 academic year.

The Dimond Family Residential Village offers 501 beds targeted for freshman students and was designed by University Architect Mark Rodgers, Design Architect Anderson Mason Dale and Collaborating Architect Moore Ruble Yudell. The project includes interior ‘porches’ at unit entries for gathering, common areas and a communal bridge with gathering space leading into a courtyard.

The building is on target for LEED Gold certification. The Dimond Family Residential Village was built by Saunders Construction.
