Chicago — CA Student Living has hired David Rose as executive vice president and head of institutional capital. Rose will play a crucial role in supporting the continued growth of the Chicago-based firm’s portfolio of purpose-built student housing assets by broadening its network of institutional clients.

“We are thrilled to welcome David to the firm at such an exciting point in our history,” says Michael Hales, president of student living. “Over the past year, student housing has continued to demonstrate its recession resilient qualities and we see nothing but opportunity on the horizon.”

“Our goal is to continue to scale our platform by adding six to eight new developments and six to eight acquisitions to our portfolio annually,” he continues. “David’s experience with strategy development and capital formation will be invaluable as we continue to execute on this goal. We are highly confident in his ability to best position the platform’s capabilities with prospective and existing institutional clients and consultants.”

Rose brings over fifteen years of real estate investment management experience to CA. Prior to joining the firm, David served as global head of consultant relations at Chicago-based private equity firm Walton Street Capital.
