by Katie Sloan

Hanover, N.H. — Dartmouth has announced plans to develop a 400-bed residence hall for undergraduate students on the North End of the university’s campus in Hanover. The university recently held a town hall meeting, during which students were able to weigh in on proposed plans for the community. Dartmouth has also hosted five community meetings to discuss various aspects of the project, which will include 128 apartment-style units. The development site is located on Lyme Road. The project is set to include indoor and outdoor common areas, fitness facilities, access to the nearby Pine Park forest and shuttle service to the center of campus. The development will allow Dartmouth to renovate its existing residence halls over the next 12 to 15 years. Further details on the project, including a timeline for the development, were not announced.
